About Us

Welcome to CapesWildlifeRescue.

CapesWildlifeRescue is a volunteer-led wildlife rescue dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned British wildlife across North Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas.

Founded by Josh Capell RVN, a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for wildlife conservation, our mission is simple: to provide every wild animal with the highest standard of care and the best possible chance of returning to its natural habitat.

Every animal admitted to our rescue receives compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to its individual needs. Working alongside our experienced volunteers and veterinary professionals, we strive to ensure each patient is given the opportunity to recover in a safe, calm and supportive environment.

Our work extends far beyond rehabilitation. We also provide advice to members of the public, respond to wildlife emergencies, educate our local communities and promote the conservation and welfare of Britain’s native wildlife.

Whether it’s a tiny fledgling, an injured hedgehog, an exhausted seabird or an orphaned rabbit, every life matters. We believe that every wild animal deserves compassion, respect and the chance to return to the wild where it belongs.

As our rescue continues to grow, so does our commitment to improving wildlife care, expanding our facilities and building a strong network of volunteers and supporters who share our vision.

Together, we can make a real difference—one rescue at a time.
